- £5 – Could buy a set of musical bells to help stimulate even the tiniest amount of a deafblind child’s hearing in music therapy.
- £15 – Could pay for a tactile book to develop a child’s sense of sight and touch at a Sense family centre.
- £25 – Could buy an interactive light tube to help stimulate a deafblind child’s remaining sight.
- £50 – Could help pay for a deafblind child’s vital first assessment.

Scafell Pike:
It is sometimes confused with the neighbouring Sca Fell, to which it is connected by the col of Mickledore. The name Pikes of Sca Fell was originally applied collectively to the peaks now known as Scafell Pike, Ill Crag and Broad Crag, which were considered subsidiary tops of Sca Fell (which looks higher from many angles). The contraction Scafell Pike originated as an error on an Ordnance Survey map, but is now standard.
The summit was donated to the National Trust in 1919 by Lord Leconfield in memory of the men of the Lake District "who fell for God and King, for freedom, peace and right in the Great War"
Scafell Pike is one of three British peaks climbed as part of the National Three Peaks Challenge, and is the highest ground for over 90 miles. Words from Wikipedia.

Location:
Eskdale, Holmrook, Cumbria CA19 1TH, UK
Travel Warning:
If you are planning on driving to this event then your sat nav may take you through Windermere and then over the Winrose and Hardknott passes. We strongly recommend that you DO NOT use this route. This route is single track, steep and treacherous…. At a previous event we ran at this hostel people did not listen to this advice and were caught out by ice and this resulted in 15 cars skidding off the road and being damaged some of them severely. There is an alternative route: Please come via Broughton in Furness. You can either set it as a via point on your sat nav or set it as your first destination then once at Broughton enter the Eskdale YHA details above. You have been warned, please listen to this advice and most defiantly do not attempt this road in the dark.
Please note that Google Maps may not show an accurate location as it is based on a local Postcode. Please take special care on often remote country roads and take note of all instructions above.
