Event Description:

Challenging yourself to climb Scafell Pike, England's higest Peak at 978m's. This event is fully guided by experienced Mountain Leaders so you do not need to worry about map reading or navigating, leaving you to enjoy the views and atmosphere.

This is an open event so you can just take part in the event for your own sense of personal achievement, however if you would like to raise some funds whilst climbing Scafell Pike let us know on the booking form below and we will ensure the charity know all about your hard work.

Are Dogs Allowed? Yes dogs are allowed on this event on the condition their owners abide by our Dogs Code of Conduct.

Knowing what kit to have with you is essential for having a safe trip with LargeOutdoors.  With this in mind we have compiled some kit lists to offer you some help and advice on what to pack.

Food and Drinks:

The majority of our locations are remote and far from local shops, the below information is provided as a guide to what food and drink you should think about bringing with you.

Packed Lunch: For each day walk you will need to supply your own packed lunch.  Please also remember to bring water and fluids for the walk.

Please book this event online using the form at the bottom of this page. We accept most major credit and debit cards online. However, If you would prefer to pay by BACS/Cheque please select the option for BACS or cheque below. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the LargeOutdoors office.

Meeting Location:

Venue Address: Meeting in the National Trust Car Park, next to Wasdale Camp Site.
Wasdale Head, Gosforth, Cumbria CA20 1EX

Special Instructions: Google maps is a bit inaccurate for this event. Once you reach the end of the lake there is an immediate right turn over a metal bridge. The car park is just on the other side of the bridge. Please note you will need parking charge for this car park.

Lifts:
If you are looking to attend an event but are not able to reach the location then please contact the LargeOutdoors office as we maybe able to help you arrange a lift. Please remember to offer to pay a contribution towards petrol even if your driver is too polite to ask.
