Camping Kit List
Don't forget the tent....
Camping is a great way to get out into the Large Outdoors, most of our camping is done on campsites that we either have exclusive use of or have an area set aside for us. On the occasions when we do Wild Camping this kit list is not relevant please see the wild camping event details for more information.
Most of our campsites will have toilets and basic shower facilities, you will need to bring toiletries, a towels as well as a torch.
Obviously please do not forget your TENT!! Whilst buying a tent bear in mind that you do get what you pay for. If it cost you £20 then it will probably be ok on the hottest and dryest day of the summer. If it rains however, you are likely to get wet. If you want to go camping and are not sure if it is for you then why not find a friend on LargeOutdoors who has got all of the kit and ask if you can share.
For the majority of our smaller camps we do not provide any cooking facilities and you are responsible for bringing your own food, stoves and cooking utensils. Some of the larger camps will have a communal mess tent with water boilers and access to stoves etc. There may also be catering available or a good pub within walking distance. All of these details will be available on the event listings.
Dogs are allowed on some of our camp events but for more details please check the individual event listing. If you do bring your dog they are your responsiblilty all weekend and please ensure you clean up after your dog.
