Plas Curig Hostel Review...

What a lovely space! Refurbished, refreshed and refreshing!
Amy and gang have made a wonderful job of breathing new life into the old youth hostel. The accommodation is a class apart from other bunkhouses we have used around the country....and we have used plenty!
A large stylish and bright reception area breaks away into a lounge complete with log burner and television for those that require it. The deep seating both there and in the reception are great for relaxing after your day out...grab a book from the shelf, or peruse your own! The kitchen..(under utilised by ourselves) looked amazing and very well equipped! A large separate dining area was both rustic and perfect for group events, or just your cornflakes and a paper!
The necessary drying room was large, and very well utilised during our stay!

A 'Hogwarts' style staircase leads to your overnight accommodation. The bunk rooms are clean and very tastefully decorated. The bunks were already made, and wonderfully comfortable. Features include storage for your bags, a sink, mirror, coat hooks and hangers. I liked the curtains for each bunk to add privacy if required, each bunk had a power point and individual light too. The bathrooms (upstairs and down) are clean with modern fittings, mirrors, towel radiators, some have corner showers, some walk in,..and soft close loo seats too! Hand soap, hand towels, bath mat, and no real issue with the hot water...plenty of it..just a few seconds to pipe its way through!
Location is wonderful, whilst Moel Siabod overlooks the bunkhouse, the views are great down the valley towards Snowdon and its' horseshoe. Here, in the heart of Snowdonia you can soon be somewhere to start your adventure! The rear backs onto a campsite and farm land and open countryside..no noise issues.

Dog friendly..there were a few pets there when we stayed, but all were impeccably behaved!
Looking forward to staying again in the near future! Thank you!
