Explore the Lake District with a guided walking weekend..

Large Outdoors has increased the number of guided walking breaks and day events in the Lake District next year, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of Beatrix Potter’s birth. Among the trips is a new option that enables guests to return and enjoy all the trappings of a luxury cottage stay after a day spent hiking in the fells.

Staying in the Yanwath Gate Farm just 10 minutes’ drive from the northern end of Ullswater, guests can simply lounge in one of the comfy sofas warming their toes in front of the log burner before being served a home-cooked three-course meal by their Large Outdoors host.

The Yanwath Gate Farm weekend runs from Friday 5th February to Monday 8th February and costs £195 per person, including all meals (packed lunch as well), Large Outdoors host and qualified walking guide. This event is no longer available..
