Lake District

Our latest Covid news and event updates.

All events and trips suspended until the 31st of August.

Hi everybody, first and foremost I hope you are all keeping safe and well. Thank you for your patience while we have been adapting to remote working and slowly getting through the huge volume of enquiries that have come into the office.

We have also been heartened by the many kind words and messages of support we have received – each one means so much to us, so again a big THANK YOU!

Ultimately we have always endeavoured to provide you with clarity and a degree of certainty which brings us to the sad decision we have taken to suspend all our trips, tours and walks up to, and including, the 31st of August.

In addition, all trips that would have involved the use of our minibus are now suspended until the end of 2020. These include Isle of Arran – Gentle Walks and the Enchanted Forest – Pitlochry.

We have not taken these decisions lightly but feel that even if the movement restrictions are eased this summer it is very likely that an element of social distancing will still need to be followed. In this situation, sitting together in a minibus or groups congregating in a house or hostel are just not conducive to social distancing and at the end of the day your welfare and that of our staff has to be our priority.

Therefore we will contact you with credit details or transfer options if you are booked on a trip that is due to run between now and the 31st August. It would really help us if you can avoid contacting our office as we are a small team and will quickly be overwhelmed answering enquiries which in-turn will slow down our ability to contact the 1000+ people that are on our radar. Rest assured we are aiming to be in touch with you all within the next 28 days.

When it comes to the rest of our autumn trips, we are awaiting the Government announcement this week as well as speaking to our venue providers to discuss how we move forward and ensure our trips can run safely as soon as we are able to.

Again, we will put you in the picture as soon as we can.
