Enjoy walking weekends across the UK
With the festivities now in full swing, both Kendra and I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for your fantastic support throughout 2015. It has been great to have you with us and we hope you enjoyed the breaks we organised.
We’re really excited about 2016 as we are expanding our programme of activities, the destinations we are visiting and we will be launching a new-look to Large Outdoors including a new website.
Here’s a quick run-down of what we have planned:
Particularly with New Year’s resolutions being made we have launched Challenge January to enable visitors to plan and get dates in the diary for 2016.
You’ll see we are discounting the cost of bookings that are made in January for most challenge events and weekends throughout 2016. Therefore if you have pledged to get fitter, undertake a tough walking challenge or just to meet a whole group of new friends, then now’s an ideal time to turn those pledges into reality. New trips for 2016
Alongside firm favourites such as our Isle of Skye weeks, we have expanded our walking jaunts in the Lake District for 2016 and have a number of new itineraries.
For instance, we have some great walking weekends in Northumberland that include a night of stargazing in Kielder’s Observatory and a trip to explore the Jurassic Coast in Dorset.
If you’re after a walking challenge, we’ve added two new itineraries – the National Three Peaks and walking the best 40 miles of Hadrian’s Wall.
Look out for our new look
Having started Large Outdoors seven years ago we now have 16,000 members and can reel off umpteen tales of adventure and new friendships that have arisen as a direct result of people joining our group trips.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved and we’re now embarking on plans that will help us provide you with an improved service particularly with the development of our new website.
This should be live by early summer and will make it far easier to navigate, find information and advice, as well as making a booking. We’re also refreshing the Large Outdoors brand with a new logo which we can exclusively reveal to you here….ta dah!
From January the new logo will begin to appear on the current website and across our social media. Our trusty van, Jasper and a new range of clothing, including t-shirts, technical tops and hoodies, will also sport the new-look so keep an eye out for these when they become available.
While the new developments are certainly exciting we will also continue to provide the personable approach for each and every trip and so we look forward to welcoming you and hope you continue to share your adventures with us.
Happy Christmas and have lovely New Year!
Gareth & Kendra xxx
