Snowdonia Day Walks Package

Wander the stunning scenery of North Wales over three days of guided walks.

Let our leaders show you the best walking in Snowdonia. We’ll take you out on three guided day walks to find great trails, hidden waterfalls and caves, fantastic mountain views, and peaceful lakeside strolls.

Snowdonia is a fantastic place to go walking, so let us do the ground work and get you to the best bits. The walks will be out for the day, but we won’t be summiting the high mountains or doing anything technical; this is more about having a social walk and having a great day out.

Please note unlike our regular trips this activity does not include accommodation. Our Mountain Leader will meet you each day and take you walking somewhere different, giving you the chance to see the many different landscapes that make up Snowdonia.

Each set of walks is based from a particular village or town, where we know you'll be able to find accommodation.

Itinerary

Day 1-3

Please note: Unlike our standard residential trips were you arrive on the evening of day one. For this trip day one starts at 9am in the chosen location and the first day of walking.

On each of these days we’ll meeting you at 9:00am. From here we’ll drive to the start of the walk and take you out for the day. Your leader will decide the walk schedule considering the weather, and on the second two days, what the group is up for. Our main aim is to show you this beautiful part of the north-west! In the evenings you’ll be free to explore the local town either in a group or on your own. Your leader will give you recommendations for great evening meal locations!

What We’ll be Doing

There are a huge range of walking options for us to choose from in the area. Each morning we’ll meet up and your leader will make a decision depending on what the group feels like as well as the weather forecast. In Betws-y-Coed we could be heading through one of the nearby gorges to visit Swallow Falls or even the Fairy Glen, or taking a trail around the hills near Capel Curig to visit the beautiful Llyn Crafnant.

From Beddgelert we might walk to Llyn Dinas and admire sites from Arthurian legend before taking to along beautiful woodland trails in Nantmor, or exploring the Pass of Aberglaslyn and Cwm Llan with its views of Snowdon.

Around Llanberis you'll be amazed at the remains of the slate industry, right next to the 13th century Dolbadarn Castle, with walks in the valleys of Snowdon itself and around the iconic Llyn Padarn. If it’s a nice day, we could aim higher, taking in one of the lower local peaks, like Moel Siabod, Yr Aran or Moel Eilio. Whatever we do we know you’ll see something new and have a great day out.

About the Area - Snowdonia National Park

The area includes the highest peaks in Wales, but also acres of woodland, sandy beaches and estuaries, and valleys packed with historical sites and excellent trails. The famous peak of Snowdon attracts people from all around the world, but equally as loved are the lowland paths, leading to lakes, up streams and through the famous mountain passes. The rich landscape comes alongside thousands of years of myths and legends, with Stone Age settlements, stories of King Arthur and castles of the Welsh Princes appearing on most walking routes.
