Autumn Social Weekends & Adventures from Large Outdoors…

Summer might be slipping by but there’s still plenty of cheer to be had, particularly as autumn can be the most spectacular season to be out walking in Britain’s countryside.

Whether it’s being amazed at the vivid reds and golds as the trees produce one final star-turn for the year before the foliage falls, watching the hauntingly beautiful sight of mist swirling through the valleys or simply revelling in those crisp, still days where there’s still a hint of warmth.

It matters not whether it’s a fine autumnal day or a blustery one, we tailor the walks to suit the conditions and the level of the group.

We also like to ensure there are plenty of post-walk comforts, things that we regard as essential elements for a great autumnal break such as log fires and comfy sofas to return to, good homemade food and, of course, lively conversation!

From the Lake District to the Peak District;Snowdonia to the spectacular North York Moors and Yorkshire Coast, we’ve scoured the countryside to find the most suitable venues before lining-up a team of fully-qualified walking guides and hosts who enjoy nothing more than facilitating a great group atmosphere.

All our trips and weekends are perfect for solo travellers as the majority of guests travel on their own to join us and the emphasis is on the sociable side of these get-togethers as much as the walking itself.

Once you’ve enjoyed the wonders of autumn, we’re then only weeks away before the festive season kicks in. Therefore if you’re keen to enjoy a sociable walking adventure over Christmas or New Year, we might just have the answer…..
