West Highland Way

What challenge will you take on?

Challenges are very personal things. It could be challenging yourself to walk longer distances, over more technical terrain and steeper inclines or walking in the dark.

Therefore in many respects you could regard each of our events as a challenge.

For those who have no hiking experience, it could be daring yourself to step out with a walking group in an unfamiliar area. Or it could be challenging yourself to try out a new sport such as wild swimming.

Meanwhile those with some hillwalking experience might want to test their mettle by scaling new heights and claim one of the big ones – Ben Nevis, Snowdon or Scafell Pike.

Alternatively there are the long distance hikes whether it’s a 25-mile route to be completed in one day or a 100-mile adventure such as the West Highland Way across seven days.  Even a familiar route can take on new levels of challenge when it’s being walked at night as is the case with our Snowdon Sunrise event.

The great thing is that when you’re with other people who share the same challenge, the ‘we can do it’ spirit spreads like osmosis through the group which helps you dig deep through the tougher moments and increases the celebratory atmosphere at the end.

Whether you’re undertaking a challenge as a personal goal or fundraising for a charity, the fact that we organise all the nitty gritty stuff – the accommodation, route planning and guiding – means that you can concentrate on fulfilling and relishing the experience.
