Join Caudwell Children as they take on towering mountains such as Snowdon and Ben Nevis or the daunting 25-mile Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge are all admirable goals for people looking to test themselves.

Now it’s a bit of a mantra of Large Outdoors that a good walk needs to include at least one opportunity to tuck into a slice of cake, either on route or at the end of the hike.

So as you can imagine I’ve been doing quite a bit of research over the years and narrowing down the list to just six has been an effort but here goes:

Whether it’s walkers grinning as they reach the highest point in Wales or the smiles that break out on the faces of patients who have just been treated to a musical reminisce session or are playing in a fully adapted playground for children with prosthetic limbs.

This pretty much sums up the result of the Birmingham Community Healthcare (BCHC) Charity’s hiking challenges organised in conjunction with Large Outdoors.

A poem about our Christmas walking holiday…

Early in Fabruary Large Outdoors ran their second guided Scottish winter walking trip to the Cairngorms. It was clear that the sunny photos from 2017 had inspired people to join us this year, so all eyes were on the weather and the hope of a repeat of the glorious conditions.
