Gin, Walking & a Hampshire Countryside Escape

This weekend combines gentle walking with one of Hampshire’s most recognisable attractions — the Bombay Sapphire gin distillery. We’ll be based in comfortable accommodation with time to settle in and meet your fellow walkers before heading out on two guided routes through classic Hampshire scenery. Expect rolling fields, woodland paths and views linked to the landscape that inspired Watership Down.

The distillery visit adds something special to the weekend: a tour of the iconic glasshouses, a look at the botanicals used in their gin, a cocktail-mixing session and tastings along the way. Evenings are relaxed and sociable, with meals out and time to unwind together after a day on the paths.

This trip is designed for anyone who enjoys steady walking, friendly company and a weekend with a bit of variety — all with transport included so you can simply arrive and enjoy.

The North Wessex Downs National Landscape is a tranquil gem in southern England, offering walkers a chance to explore a diverse and unspoiled countryside. With its rolling chalk hills, peaceful woodlands, and winding rivers, this area is perfect for those seeking a relaxing escape into nature.

In the south-eastern part of the Downs, you’ll discover a mix of ancient pathways, secluded valleys, and panoramic views that stretch for miles. The area’s rich history is evident as you walk past Neolithic burial mounds, Roman tracks, and hilltop forts that give glimpses into the past. Even in winter, the crisp air and quiet trails make for rewarding days outdoors.
