The mountains of the UK in winter can be stunningly beautiful places, but reaching the summits under snow and ice, on days with less daylight, is definitely a big step up from a summer wander! Our winter mountain trips here are all in smaller groups than in summer, with qualified Winter Mountain Leaders.
For these trips you'll need warmer clothes, and winter boots, but we take care of the rest which includes the hire of ice axe and crampons. However, part of the trip is being taught how to use these pieces of equipment, and discover more about how to stay safe and happy in the snow...on top of a mountain!
Oh and yes there's always time to make a snowman.
