Welcome to Large Outdoors!

What we do is very simple.  We offer you the chance to get out into the countryside, meet new people and have some fun!

Whether it's walking, climbing, kayaking or camping, it doesn't matter if you've never done it before, or if you already enjoy it. We aim to offer these activities (and more) at all levels, from complete beginners to those who are ready for something more demanding. 

And all with a friendly group of people who aren't out to impress but who just want to relax in the great outdoors together.

As a participant on one of our recent walks said: "Why hasn't someone thought of this before!"

What kinds of activities do we run?

Our growing list includes walking, mountain biking, camping, diving, surfing, kayaking, climbing, weekends away, coasteering, socials and international adventure trips.  All our events are graded by difficulty, from gentle strolls to charity challenges.

We can also organise an event for you, your friends and colleagues, a corporate team or a charity you support.  Have a look at our Bespoke Events or contact our office.

How does it work?

You register, pay for and then enjoy your chosen event with us. It's as simple as that.  You can sign up to as many or few events as you please.  

We're not a membership club - our events are open to anyone over the age of 18.

We also offer a Loyalty Pass so our regulars can enjoy discounts not only with us, but with an increasing number of other organisations.

Hi,  Really enjoyed the walk in Macclesfield. It was nice and relaxed and I like the fact it was only a small group, making it a lot more personal. Trish was so friendly taking the time to chat  with everyone along the way, but also very confident, making me feel relaxed and able to enjoy the day. -  Thanks Elaine

My abseil was fantastic, I'm really scared of heights so it was a big thing for me to face my fear. My two friends really enjoyed it and the guides were great. Would definitely recommend large outdoors.
