Join Large Outdoors in creating memorable and impactful outdoor adventures for your charity supporters and fundraisers.

There are a few ways that charities can partner with Large Outdoors:

  • You can book places on one of our ‘Open-Group Challenges’. We offer charities a 10% discount and there is no obligation or minimum numbers - a great ‘risk free’ option.

  • You can arrange an exclusive event just for your charity supporters, by making use of our ‘Hire a Guide’ service. You only need to book one guide to secure your date and then you can book additional guides if the momentum builds and you need multiple guides for a larger event.

  • You can also hire us to create a totally bespoke challenge or programme of challenge walks for your charity. We can devise routes and themes to suit your cause and deal with all the logistics of organising and running a unique event.

Open-Group Challenges vs Hire a Guide

Which is right for your charity?

  • Open-Group Challenge

Large Outdoors proudly offers a broad selection of Open-Group Challenge dates, hosting events throughout the year and across the UK. You can view a full list of available challenges at the bottom of this page.

    Benefits:

Instantly create a risk-free challenge schedule for your supporters.

Freedom to select as many dates and challenges as you wish to promote.

Per-person pricing, featuring a 10% charity discount compared to our standard rates.

    No minimum participant numbers required.

Zero financial risk or commitment for your charity - simply pay for the places you need.

Flexibility to switch your booking to Hire a Guide should your participant numbers increase.

    Booking & Payments:

We provide your charity with a unique code, which you share with your supporters when they register for any of Large Outdoors’ ‘Open Group Challenges’ you’ve chosen to promote. They then use this code to book their place(s) directly via the Large Outdoors website (less admin for you - yey!).

We invoice you quarterly for places booked using the code - offering a 10% discount on our standard prices. You have full control over how much you charge your supporters for registration/sign-up fees.

Our GDPR-compliant automated booking system manages the collection of medical details and waivers directly from participants - sending them essential preparation information such as kit lists and any last-minute updates - significantly reducing your administrative workload.

  • Hire a Guide

For charities seeking an exclusive event date for their supporters or a walk/event outside of our Open-Group Challenge offerings, our Hire a Guide service is the perfect solution. You can view pricing and ratios for popular challenges at the bottom of this page.

    Benefits:

Enjoy an exclusive charity challenge tailored to your supporters.

Per-guide pricing, which can often be more cost-effective with larger participant numbers.

Select a date that perfectly aligns with your charity's schedule.

Avail of flexible booking options to accommodate additional guides for expanding events.

Simplify administrative processes with online waivers and collection of medical details.

Choose an existing challenge or design a bespoke walk/event specifically for your charity.

    Booking and Payments:

To secure your chosen date and challenge walk we require the cost of one guide as a deposit. If your event grows, you have the flexibility to add more guides as needed.

Our guide ratios vary depending on the challenge. This ratio encompasses everyone participating in the challenge, from supporters to any of your staff members or volunteers who may be completing the challenge. Your booking form will detail the maximum ratio to ensure a safe and well-managed event.

Our GDPR-compliant systems manage the collection of medical details and waivers directly from participants. We’ll also provide you with essential preparation information to distribute to everyone, such as kit lists and and a handy outline of what happens on the day and how to prepare - significantly reducing your administrative workload.
