A sociable three-night walking break through classic Yorkshire Dales landscapes

This three-night break offers a relaxed way to discover some of the most iconic and characterful corners of the Yorkshire Dales. With comfortable hotel accommodation, a sociable group atmosphere and fully guided walks each day, it’s designed to let you switch off and enjoy the experience — whether you’re coming along solo or with a friend.

We base ourselves in the southern Dales, an area shaped by rivers, limestone cliffs, glacial valleys and historic villages. Each day we’ll explore a different highlight: the riverside paths and woodlands around Grassington, the famous limestone formations near Malham Cove, and the peaceful beauty of Bolton Abbey.

The pace is gentle and the routes are carefully chosen to offer interest without being rushed. Along the way, our guides will share stories that bring the landscape to life — from ancient woodland and Iron Age remains to medieval monasteries and folklore. There’s time for café stops, pub meals and scenic picnic lunches, plus plenty of opportunities to chat with others and take in the views.

Evenings are spent relaxing over meals – two in traditional local pubs and one in the hotel’s own restaurant. If you're travelling by train, we'll collect you from Gargrave station on the first day and return you there at the end of the trip, with all local transport included throughout.

This is a walking break for anyone wanting to experience the best of the Dales in good company, with none of the planning left to you.
