Gallery: Bosherston to Stackpole Head via Saint Govan’s Chapel
Day two of our Pembrokeshire Coast Walking Weekend brought us another beautiful autumn day, perfect for exploring the historical and mythical sights. Starting from Bosherston, we walked to Saint Govan’s Chapel, a unique, cliffside structure steeped in myth, said to be built where Saint Govan found refuge from pirates in the 6th century.
We continued to Broad Haven, stopping for a mid-morning break with seaside views, before following the coast path to Stackpole Head and the stunning Barafundle Bay. Lunch here was an ideal pause before heading to Stackpole Quay, a National Trust spot known for its small harbour and heritage as a former limestone port. After exploring, we couldn’t resist visiting the Stackpole Tearoom and later wandered back through the famous Lily Ponds via the picturesque Eight Arch Bridge. A wonderful route showcasing some of the best highlights of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
